What’s included in my Umba Box?

That’s the fun part! You won’t know until you order one. Umba Box is a curated handmade subscription service that find the most coveted and well-design products available. We’re constantly searching for fresh, new faces in the handmade design community. We’ve found that our subscribers love the idea of a surprise in the mail each month, so we don’t want to take that thrill away from them.

Currently, boxes include a handmade product (sometimes a few products!) aimed at women that are fresh & modern, with an occasional (though not always) vintage feel. These could be stationery, jewelry, bath products, accessories, or home goods. We source products that you would be proud to wear and use. Our taste is not overly cutesy or old fashioned, so if that’s what you’re expecting, Umba Box isn’t right for you. In addition to this blog, we also have a Pinterest board that you can follow for fabulous handmade finds. (Disclosure: items appearing on blog/Pinterest board will not necessarily be sent to subscribers, but rather a representation of the types of items that we love.)

I’m a handmade artist. How can my products be included in a future Umba Box shipment?

We’re so excited that you want to participate! Since we have so many talented artisans who want to work with us right now, we can only select a few at a time. But be patient! We are expanding, and want to include as many top-notch producers as possible. Please complete this brief questionnaire to submit your interest in participating.

When will my box ship?

All subscriptions (monthly & gift) ship the first week of the month via USPS. Because we order our products straight from the handmade producers, we want to make sure that they have enough time to fulfill all of the subscriptions. The cutoff date for being included in the next delivery is the 10th day of the previous month. For instance, if you want the March 2012 delivery, you must subscribe on/before February 10, 2012.
